Pancakes (American pancakes) with chocolate sauce ...
We mix in one bowl all the dry ingredients and in another the milk, melted butter and eggs.
Gradually add the wet ingredients over the dry ones, stirring constantly so that no lumps form, then cover the bowl with foil and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
After a while, take it out of the fridge, mix a little and put a non-stick pan on the fire. Grease the hot pan with oil and put 2 tablespoons of the mixture in the middle (the composition will spread on its own).
Let them cook on one side, until they start to make bubbles on the surface, then turn them on the other side, being careful not to burn them.
Ideally, we should make them over low heat.
We put them on top of each other and when they are all ready we prepare the sauce.
Put the melted chocolate milk on the steam bath, when it's ready let it cool a bit, then put pancakes on the plate and put sauce on top as you like.
Ingredients for the American pancake recipe

- -1 teaspoon baking powder
- -25 g old
- -1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- -130g flour
- -a pinch of salt
- -chocolate flakes
Weekends mean late mornings in bed for our family, followed by a late breakfast and most of the time served in bed. I used this recipe for my new kitchen purchase, a Kitchen Aid appliance, but the recipe can be made with a mixer and manually using a tel.
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Mix / beat the three egg whites until they froth.
- Add the agave syrup, then gradually add the milk, followed by the flour. At the same time, the composition is continuously mixed.
- Baking powder is also added. It's the turn of the yolks to enter the scene. They are rubbed with a little salt and then added to the composition, until the dough becomes consistent.
- Grease the pan with butter and after the butter melts, put a dough polisher in the middle of the pan. Make sure the pan is well heated before you put the dough. The pancake is ready to turn when the first bubbles on the edge break.

Heat a pan for pancakes and grease it with very little oil. Do not put much oil, just grease the surface of the pan with a napkin. With a polish we put the dough in the center of the pan. Do not tilt the pan, let the dough stretch by itself as much as it wants. When the surface makes blisters and loses its luster, we turn the pancake. We leave it until it is done on the other side and ready. That's the way it is for everyone.
Put a small cube of butter on top, while they are hot to melt, and eat with your favorite topping! Good appetite!
