Quince jam


  • 1 kg cleaned quince (without seeds)
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 800 ml water
  • the juice of a lemon

Servings: 10

Preparation time: less than 120 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Quince jam:



  1. We clean the down quinces and wash them well.

  2. We clean the hard part in the middle and the seeds.

  3. We cut them into cubes and sprinkle them with lemon juice so that they do not change color.

  4. Meanwhile, put water and sugar in a saucepan with a thicker bottom, to boil.

  5. After the sugar melts and the syrup boils, pour the quince cubes over the syrup.

  6. Stir from time to time so that the jam does not stick to the bottom of the pan.

  7. It is ready when the quinces are soft and in addition we take out a little jam on a plate to see if it has bound.

  8. Allow to cool a little and then place it in jars.

  9. Put the jars in a tray and put them in the oven for 10 minutes.

  10. Leave them in the oven until they cool and store them in the pantry.
