Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes. Check if it is done with a toothpick. If it comes out clean in the middle of the countertop, it means it's ready.

Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan. In the meantime, you can prepare the chocolate icing.

Break the chocolate into small pieces and place them in a bowl. Heat the cream in a kettle. When it almost reaches boiling point, pour it over the pieces of chocolate.

Let the mixture sit for 2 minutes, until the hot cream softens the chocolate. Stir until smooth. Allow the glaze to cool completely before using it.

Pour the chocolate icing over the cake in the pan and let it cool in the fridge for at least 1 hour before cutting and serving.
