The decadent Bananas Foster Cocktail takes the enticing flavors of the classic dessert, and combines them into a divine adult beverage!

The famous New Orleans Bananas Foster was invented in 1951 by Chef Paul Blangé at famed Brennan’s Restaurant in the French Quarter.

Inspiration for this cocktail comes from a drink I had at the renowned NOLA restaurant Tableau. Years ago, I had the pleasure of indulging on their decadent Foster Cocktail while relaxing on their beautiful balcony overlooking Jackson Square.

The drink was so delicious, I wanted to recreate it when I got home. This is the original recipe for the Foster Cocktail at Tableau. Initially, I ran into problems finding the ingredients they used, so I crafted my own version!

This cocktail captures all the elements of the famous New Orleans treat: flambé bananas, brown sugar, cinnamon, rum sauce, & vanilla ice cream and translates them into an adult Bananas Foster Cocktail. Cheers!
